New Apple Silicon
This week Apple hosted their first ever evening event dubbed “Scary fast” and they released the new M3 line of Apple Silicon. New MacBook Pros released with the new chips along with an updated iMac. This article breaks down the differences in the new chips.

New Apple Pencil
Apple also released a new Apple Pencil with USB-C charging support. It is the cheapest pencil they offer and does not have pressure sensitivity but looks like a great starter for students wanting to draw or take notes on the iPad.
Behind the scenes of the Apple Event
Apple had one last little thing at the end of the event video. A single line that revealed that the entire event had been shot using iPhone 15 Pro Max. Obviously they were using studio lights and camera jigs and fancy microphones but those things would be needed with a professional camera too!
WinAmp coming to iPhone and Android??
Well here is a blast from the past for the more seasoned geeks among us! The creators of WinAmp released a new web version recently after years of silence, and apparently have mobile versions in the works and nearing release. The question is, will it still “whip the llama’s ass”?

Home Assistant just released a pretty sizeable update with to-do lists integrated and customisable wake words for their new voice integrations. Home Assistant have been on fire recently and this latest update seems to be no exception!

Raspberry Pi 5 NVMe boot
The ever amazing Jeff Geerling shows off how he got the new Pi 5 to boot from an NVMe drive using an external PCIe connector. This gives the Pi a significant storage speed and reliability boost and is just a cool project in its own right too. If you are interested in Raspberry Pi at a more technical level, be sure to give his YouTube channel a subscribe, you won’t be disappointed!
